Maxwell render

Object renderings I did with MaxwellRender. Though models are pretty simple, the results turned out quite interesting, imho. Light and material setup in maxwell studio is always a bit unusual process comparing with biased renders, but for certain scenes, when you have plenty of time to play with materials, reflections etc, maxwell gives the best images.

  1. I really like the texture to that heart, it looks really vibrant. The rest of the metallic objects are spot in, look like their metals very clearly

  2. Thanks. Material editor in maxwell render is really fantastic. I would say it's the strongest among renders I've ever tried. For example this heart material is a mixture of glass and prerendered 3d fractal scene.

  3. I really should try more renderers, I think the default 3ds max renderer and materials are quite poor, mental ray is good for things like skin, tho I am far from getting a good grasp of it, doesnt seem so character orientated either, I hear brazil is better.

  4. Yes, I heard about brazil too. I thought there was no updates of it for a long time.

  6. Final Render is also pretty good, imho there are more flexible shaders than in vray.
